Friends for Logan
Does he have any friends near his new residence?

Unfortunately, not. There are kids living on our street, but they're all 7 years old and up.

He has three second cousins, ages 15, 13, and 10, and the two youngest ones seem quite willing to play with him when we take him over to my grandparents place. Patrice, my gardening mentor, has a son and a daughter. The daugter, Mannon, is 7, and the son, Marcello, is 5. They play nice with Logan, but he doesn't seem them very often. Patrice and I work in his garden in the early morning before the full heat of the Arkansas summer rears its beastly head. Lara and Logan are still in bed when I leave our house to head over to Patrice's place in Eureka Springs.

Logan spends a great deal of time here in our rental house. The possibilities should open up a bit when Lara gets a driver's liscense and is no longer dependent on me to take her wherever she wants to go.

Re: Friends for Logan
You are most welcome to expand his activities and possibilites for interaction with your own driver's license, or even just hands and feet. The richness of his life and social interaction are hardly bounded by two mornings a week in the garden and one driver's license. Rather they are bounded by his two parents' fluctuating degrees of willingness. Let us both increase our efforts and resourcefulness! Rewards all around!

it's like livejournal in 3d. the added dimension of hearing your voice (and logan's) makes you more real a person to someone that's never met you. hearing someone's voice, a real person, provides something even more recognizable and personable.

and you have a very soothing voice.

That's exactly why I signed up for Audblog and why I'm so excited about it. That's also why I'm such an NPR junky, I think.

and you have a very soothing voice.

Ah, the lasting legacy of NLP training and endless hours of calming angry Amazon.com customers on the phone. Thanks for the compliment.
