Tsunami Satellite Photos - Before and After

The first few images show only the shoreline, and looking at them, it seems as though the scale of the destruction has been exaggerated in the media. Keep moving thru the images until you get the the inland shots. Wow.

I now have no trouble beleiving that this does represent the worst natural disaster in recorded history.

From image 5 onward it is just plain gutwrenching.

I don't think they are exxagerated at all
Case in point, 12. A villiage, where I can see a lot of planned orchards and old-school (read 'biodiversity') farming going on. Click the 'after' and it is erased from the map.

Since the modern "Pre-fab"/sheetrock seems to have been taking hold in building construction, even the areas that are just 'muddy' have been destroyed.
