Baby pic

Behind the cut tag you'll find a picture of Callum that Lara took a while ago. In the fast-paced early developmental days of baby-time, this picture represents an age gone by. He's a different baby now.

Mais oui!
Most assuredly yes. Partly because he is a slightly less demanding and strident baby, and partly because I am a battled-hardened mama this time around rather than a terrified intern. I have also learned to ask for help when I need it, rather than muck about in miserable distress out of a misplaced desire/notion to not bother others.

The two boys are ridiculously cute together. Callum utterly adores big brother Logan, and follows him like a flower does the sun.

Re: Mais oui!
Yup, it was right when Logan turned three that I really started to mourn the lost babyness, even though I swore I would never go through pregnancy and childbirth again. Longing for another won out, though, and I am very, very glad.

Everyone says the second one is easier, and it's absolutely true. Kevin and I are both enjoying this time around much more, as we know how fleeting the baby stage is and we feel calmer and steadier as parents. (Also, we were hoping/trying for a girl---you know, one of each. A set of boys has it advantages, though, and I wouldn't trade my glorious boys for the world!)
