Following lines of thought sparked by reading about John Titor, a man who claimed to have returned from 2036 to pick up an old IBM computer from the seventies and then stop in at the turn of the century to witness, and then at the last minute avert, the Y2K catastrophe, foolfaerie420 wrote:

Thanks for the shout-out KMO, I actually thought about that statement later. It really is the true core of my central worldview. It really stirs up a lot of thoughts in me. I should say that this is an easy access point to the muse for me, this perception of the grand treasure. I have even come to have an appreciation for my own company, a general sense of excitement about creating a very simple life for myself, in the context of the needs of my immediate children and family, as well as the many lovely circles of affiliation. I also really think that most people already consider two-or more places *home* already. Perceptual shifts are fun.
