Yea, a surprisingly decent interview from Fox News.

Hmmm...
I didn't read an interview. I just meant to link to a video excerpt from a debate.

Ah, here it is...
Watching the interview now.

Same message from Ron Paul. Yeah, surprised they would play it on Fox unless they planned it as the first step of a concerted and sustained smear effort against Ron Paul.

Yea, some have speculated that the focus on the "9/11 conspiracy theory" angle was an attempt to smear him, but it seems to me they gave him a good opportunity to distance himself from the "tinfoil hat" crowd.

And here is the closest thing that I could find to Ron Paul's debate statements on NPR:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12523033

They MENTION that he voices disagreement with the President on the war, but they don't play any of his comments. They do play "mainstream" republican candidates mouthing platitudes about progress on the ground, but they... and by "they" I mean National Public Radio, chose not to play an excerpt of the only republican candidate saying clearly and unequivicolly that it is time to pull troops out of Iraq.

This is freakin' weird. Ron Paul gets ignored by NPR and given a fair hearing by Fox News. What in the world is going on?

Re: Ah, here it is...
There was a short blurb about Ron Paul on today's (Thursday's) Morning Edition. Fairly neutral, though they did say things like he wants to do away with Social Security, which sounds much more extreme than the gradual opt-out approach he has been discussing.
