Upcoming C-Realm Shows

How much interview material should I record, and how far in advance? It feels a little strange when I put out a podcast built around an interview that I recorded weeks ago. At the same time, it really sucks to have to scramble around for last minute interviews on those Wednesdays when I wake up and realize I have nothing recorded for the podcast. Having been caught flat footed on episode #52 (thank you to Michelle Espinosa and A. Andrew Gonzalez for stepping in at the last minute)I've recorded enough material for episodes 53 thru 55 including interviews with:

Prof. Albert Bartlett - retired physics professor and modern-day Malthusian. One way or another, argues Prof. Bartlett, we will achieve zero population growth. This is a long interview and is intended as a follow-up to his Exponential Function lecture. If you haven't heard that lecture yet, you can find it here.

Carol Ekarius is a return guest. She joined me for episode #6 and we talked about living off-the-grid and about keeping animals. She is the author of many books including Hobby Farm, How to Build Animal Housing, and Small-Scale Livestock Farming: A Grass-Based Approach of Health, Sustainability, and Profit. I talked to Carol about keeping backyard chickens as well as her new interest in Toxic Body Burden.

Mike Hagan of RadiOrbit. Mike is the creator and host of a weekly radio show that focuses on much the same subject matter as does the C-Realm Podcast. And his show has been on the air for three years now. I recorded a short conversation with Mike for episode #53. We plan to get together for a more in-depth discussion in the coming weeks. Please send me any questions you'd like me to put to Mike.

And now a question for you good folks, who would you like to hear me interview for the C-Realm Podcast in the coming weeks? What topics would you like to hear discussed?

Are there guests from previous shows of whom you'd like to more?

Are there topics that we've already covered that you'd like to have re-examined from a fresh perspective?

What about new guests and new topics?

Help me put out a show that answers to your interests and concerns.

Thanks, all.

David Cobb
Please consider interviewing David Cobb of Democracy Unlimited - Humboldt County. He is well-versed in the history of corporate power, as well as a leader in the grassroots effort to reclaim the democratic process. Cobb and DUHC are involved with community currency projects, anti-corporate/pro-democracy education, and the (mildly notorious) measure t anti-corporate election funding initiative here in Humboldt.

Re: David Cobb

I will certainly invite David to participate. Thank you for the recommendation. If you know David, or have any contact with him, you might direct him to the show so that my invitation doesn't come out of the blue.

Thanks again.

Re: David Cobb
Well, I sent David Cobb a personalized variation on my usual invite letter. I have not heard back from him. We'll see.

Re: David Cobb
I've sent him an email detailing why I thought he'd make a good interviewee, and where (as I see it) DUHC and C-Realm have intersecting ideologies. He is generally extremely busy and often traveling, so it might be some time before he catches up with email and replies.

Thank you for extending the invitation. I hope it works out.

You might take a gander at what we've been up to.

Namaste.
