151: The Next Step

KMO welcomes Jarrett Sanchez to the C-Realm to discuss his new project, the Next Step Podcast. Later KMO compares competing worldviews concerning Peak Oil and reads a portion of an essay by Erik Davis about slowing down and getting out of the “zombies on speed” mode.

In my closing rant, I make reference to a talk by Douglas Rushkoff that can be found here:

Hey KMO, let me throw in a few more links for people to follow up on since you're a wi-fi hobo again!

Les Squires you can find through www.transitionus.ning.com .

Adam Grubb can be found at www.permablitz.net

Rosa Zubizaretta is at http://www.collectivewisdominitiative.org/files_people/Zubizarreta_Rosa.htm

Sorry I can't figure out hyperlink in the comment box everyone!

The video I mentioned about Forest Gardening the Permaculture Way with Geoff Lawton I got on torrents, so whatever your thoughts are on that, well, it's available through that channel.

I think that's pretty much it but if you all want some other link or anything else please feel free to comment here or send me a message!

Thanks a whole bunch and some more KMO, I hope your audience enjoys this episode!

next step
The last to podcasts were great. Sanchez and Aragona are definitely taking the next step. While I know it is important to talk about life now, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It is kind of like shaking off a bad hangover. KMO we all have one foot in the old way of doing things. Oh how ignorance was bliss. However it is time to pull that foot out of the mud and affect the change we want. Ghandi said, "be the change you want to see." I think Aragona is dead on in saying the critique is at risk of becoming the movement. I applaud all of you. You are affecting change. Keep up the great work.
