The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers and
cities; but to know someone here and there who thinks and feels with us, and though distant, is close to us in spirit - this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.

-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built.

-James Allen

Very thought provoking. The first one is particularly relevant to me at the moment. Because I'm not going out to work, I've been missing the social interaction will co-workers. LJ has become quite a big part of my social network and some of the people I've met this way are geographically distant but close in spirit.
