Sweet Broadband!

After a couple of intolerable weeks with a dial-up connection we've returned to the light. We're still ex-cable-heads, but now we have DSL. Oh yes.

I'm now a working slob. I sell cellular service and Dish Network service. I'm in the brain-bending days that come at the on-set of a job inwhich one must assimilate a body of technical arcana.

The other day, as I was driving to my grandmother's house to pick up my son, I saw a peacock tail feather lying in the road.

This Has Nothing to Do with Anything
Hey, KMO.

I'm starting an experiment that I'd like to have you do also (as, perhaps a "control" group.) Of course, participation is voluntary.

I've noticed that I've gotten really systematic in drawing my characters. I know the shapes that comprise them, etc. They've gotten quite defined over time.

I've decided to take an entire journal and fill it with tons of autobiographical panels per page, like, an inch and a half square. No sketching, no forethought, just drawing and captioning.

My guess is that after a year I'll be able to whip out a page of quirky little observations on my life in no-time flat. I'm also pretty sure that a "style" appropriate to this type of work will develop. I want to see if it affects other aspects of my work or not.

If you're interested, you know, do it.

Sounds good.

I'll send you the journal name via private email.
