1) I had planned to get a lot of you folks as guests for the show. I've since found that it's much easier to get a well-known author or other niche celebrity to agree to an interview than it is to secure an interview with the people on your friends list.

Niche Celeb: "Huh? Whazzat? An interview? Yeah, sure. Are we recording now?"

LJ friend: "An interview? Me? I don't know. I don't think anyone would be interested in my opinion."

2) It takes a long time to put a show together, and so it pays to start early. But there have been times when I've posted a show on Wednesday and had the next one ready to go on Thursday and had to wait 6 intermidable days before I could post it. For me, the show I just posted is old news. My brain is abuzz with the show that "airs" two weeks from today.

3) Interviewing people by phone puts me into a state of flow... for forty minutes. Forty five minutes into the interview and I'm cutting off my guest in mid-sentence to say, "Thanks for joining us on the C-Realm podcast."

4) I'd like to get more feedback, but I'm glad that I don't. It would just distract me, and I've already established that my motivation to keep putting out new shows requires minimal audience feedback.

I'm a little embarassed here
-But I can't view any podcasts online...Quicktime doesn't seem to work for those.

How do you view them?

Not much to look at, but you can download the mp3 and play it with Windows Media Player.

Seeing this post reminds me: sorry I haven't responded to your e-mail.

I have been sick for a few days and am pretty stresed with academic whatnot right now. Any chance I could skip 12 in favor of 15? (assuming you are still doing the every-third-podcast-is-singularity-themed thing) I feel I'd have more interesting things to say then vs. now when I have no time to allow much of anything into my mind other than what I'm working on at the moment.

No problem
It's actually episode 13 we're talking about, and it will be the second Singularity-themed show thus far. I don't plan to let 10 more episodes go by without re-visiting the topic, so I'll contact you in 07 as the next singularity-orieted show approaches.
