Walking Dead: Season Finale

Marty and I recorded our reactions for the next episode of the Z-Realm Podcast immediately after the show ended. Our assessment was entirely positive. Marty just sent me a link to this review which was almost completely negative. I do see the reviewer's point, and at the same time, I'm glad that they went to the CDC. I liked the glimpse of the big picture we got there, and while it did seem a stretch that they went from campfires and fishing to a fully-stocked underground government complex complete with talking super-computer house-minder, the series IS set in and around Atlanta, and that's where the CDC has it's real world HQ.

I couldn't avoid thinking of the 'Realms when the doctor lamented at how stupid it is we have(in their case had) a civilization built on abundant fossil fuels. It was poignant, and I'm sure everyone who listens to you shows had a reaction similar to, "Well, duh!!!"

Lost with Zombies
I have no complaints with the season finale's plot, and I know there are no original stories out there, but I haven't been able to get around the feeling that this series is "Lost" with zombies. It is entertaining enough, but from time to time my willingness to suspend disbelief is hampered by the feeling that I've seen this before. And I really didn't like "Lost." Only really sat through the first episode and couldn't take anymore.

Re: Lost with Zombies
What was it that you didn't like about Lost? When I think about Lost, I think about the very large cast and extremely complicated weaving together of the back stories of the many characters over several years.
