Mocha Needs Emergency Care

The property manager at the Elk River House, the place in Maryland where I rent a room, called me this afternoon to let me know that Mocha, the black cat who belongs to my son Logan, has been injured and that her right front leg is broken in multiple places. I've tried calling vets on Maryland's Eastern Shore to get an idea of how much it will cost to have Mocha's leg set, but it's already after 5 pm there, and I'm just getting answering machine messages.

In any event, I don't have the money to pay for her care. I thought of running a short Kickstarter campaign, but the guidelines for the site specify that it is not to be used for charity fund-raising. If you have any advice, I would very much appreciate it, and if you can help with a PayPal donation, you would have my most heart-felt thanks.

Edit: Thank you to everyone who donated. I'm pretty sure that the amount that the Friends of the C-Realm (and friends of animals in need) have provided will get me through the vet bills, so I have removed the special PayPal donate button. What's needed now is good will, prayer, healing vibes, however you like to conceive of a non-physical, non-financial way to help. Thank you again.

Hello I don't know you
I accidentally hit lolotehe's friends instead of my own.
However, I do want to donate.

BOOSTING SIGNAL - Pretty black cat, leg broken badly
User disgruntledgrrl referenced to your post from BOOSTING SIGNAL - Pretty black cat, leg broken badly saying: [...] I tossed over $5. Due to a Paypal hiccup, it was $105. [...]

Re: BOOSTING SIGNAL - Pretty black cat, leg broken badly
I just checked my PayPal account. I don't see any record of a payment in the amount of $105. If you need any help resolving an issue with PayPal arising from this, please let me know.

Nah I tried to pay an artist some cash. Paypal double charged me (charging my original out of date card and my current card), sent the money to the artist, found out the old card was expired and thus - said I had to pay $100 in order to pay $5.
Sarcastic %^##@#
The artist DID get the cash so I'm not griping. Just can't give more than I originally wanted to.
The agreement with the artist was Half down, half later. He was puzzled, too. I'll check to make sure he DID get this extra hundred. Or PayPal heads will roll.

Get well soon, Mocha.
Cash on the way, KMO.

Keep us updated - hope all goes smoothly.

Our own feline lunatic has given us a fair few scares down the years - falling off things, running into chair legs and knocking herself unconscious. Oh yes!
We were convinced that she was likely to end her days under a bus, so she is strictly a house/garden cat in the day and then is walked on a lease and harness evenings and weekends. It gets a few funny looks and it doesn't look terribly macho, but we get her home in one piece.

All the best,

Re: Get well soon, Mocha.
The property manager has not called me to get my PayPal debit card number. I fear the worst.

Mocha looks just like my Onyx, even down to the little white patch on her chest. Your girl is in my thoughts, while my own girls are safely inside looking out at cat-deep white stuff that they can't traverse.

Hoping for some good news here... heard anything yet?
