A Request

I just got the following question for which I have no useful answer. Can you help?

I was wondering if you happen to know anyone who was setting up anything like a cross country bicycle way point station across the Nation- kind of like Harriet Tubman's Underground railroad and then having a gps recorded account of it in something like the 'crew change'- u know that one anarchists use for trains across the U.S.?

I wanna start one if not.

I'd be curious to know more of this anarchist "crew change" of which you speak...

X-country cycling
Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but last year my son did a X-country bicycle trip on a route that has been set up by 'Adventure Cyclist' magazine:
http://www.adventurecycling.org/routes/nbrn/usbikewaysystem.cfm
He was able to get AAA-type detailed maps from them that included way stations, people who regularly host cyclists on the route. He also did a lot of camping and enjoyed the fellowship of others who were doing the same thing. A couple of the guys he met actually had already gone from Washington State to Virginia and were on their way back! Hope this helps...:-)
