Google just alerted me to this:

There's not much there. If any Friends of the C-Realm would take the time to help flesh out the C-Realm profile on FairSpin I would be grateful for your efforts.

Should we use guests that implicate the Bush II admin in 9/11 (Steve Alton, et al), or the producer of Fathead with his "Government Bad!" Turette's Syndrome twitches? Both have value, as you know; but on a whole the spectrum of opinion cannot be reduced to a two-dimensional rainbow of three colors.

The entire premise of FairSpin fails. I think, given the variety of guests and opinions on your show, pigeonholing the C-Realm into Left, Neutral or Right would denude it of any value whatsoever. I vote to ignore it entirely.

I'd never heard of FairSpin before some Google bot decided to place a link to it in my Gmail inbox. If you think that it's a waste of time, no worries. My notion was just to put enough information up there, even if it doesn't fully capture the complexity of the show, to create a new incoming vector to the podcast.

According to PodOMatic stats, I have fewer regular listeners today than I did in 2008.

Really? That's not what I would have expected.

I guess when you branch out with your guests and topics into the rocky road, pistachio and neopolitan flavors, you alienate the vanilla listener.

Who knows?
I should probably have put "according to PodOMatic stats" in bold. It could be that they were still reporting a lot of bot traffic as legit and thereby inflating the listenership profile back then and that the current, more modest stats, are simply more accurate.

I can't claim to have kept careful track, but I think donations are up. It's very rare these days that I don't have anyone to thank for sponsoring that week's episode.

It's all good.

All good, yes, but let me make it better.
Perhaps you could send me your new mailing address (LJ mail is fine). It's that time of year!
