C-Realm Podcast Guest Suggestions

Episode 261 of the C-Realm Podcast was a bit of a hodge podge. I had no formal, full-length interview to play, so I strung some bits and pieces together. This kind of episode requires more work from me, and it's not something I want to happen more often than once in a blue moon. I put out a request for guest suggestions on the Friends of the C-Realm Group on Facebook, and here are the recommendations I have received thus far:

  • James Jones I'd be interesting in hearing from James Howard Kunstler. I have been some of his stuff in regards to how the stock market is going to be brutally crashing any second now for at least the past year.

  • William Cannady maybe Lorenzo, he tends to play a lot of recordings and not give a lot of opinions or insights. i would like to hear a conversation with him just allowing listeners the opportunity what the man is like on his day to day and possibly get a look in to his philosophies. i know he has book the genesis generation but im sure anything you guys talk about will be very interesting.

  • Travis Nobles you should get Rak Razam on some time. i hear he's hard to get a hold of, but he's always got interesting things to say about entheogens, planetary consciousness, 2012/singularity/awakening/whatever, etc. without sounding like a total nut. he would be an good antidote if the show is in danger of getting too doomerish ;)

  • Travis Nobles ive only just started reading his blog, but Christopher Knowles of The Secret Sun also seems to have some pretty interesting things to say about aliens, the paranormal, comic books and movies

Opaquelens talking with you about his experience at the UKC Breaking Convention conference. Listeners would probably enjoy hearing about the UK's first (I think) Multidisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Consciousness, and OL is always go...See More

Well, repeat guests that would be great to hear from again would certainly include Dennis M. Bushnell (Nmr 108 – Methane Burps and Tele Everything) if he is "get-able". Always nice to balance us doomers up with a techno-optimist.

    Also, a bit...See More

  • Jarett Sanchez Dang, KMO, people want to hear about drugs and aliens. You've altered your demographic, hahaha. Or have you? ;)

I pick another podcaster, Greg Kaminsky of the Occult of Personality podcast, to perhaps discuss the sort of morality found in the Western Esoteric tradition that may be of benefit to a post-collapse society, or even a supposed pre-collapse society such as we are in right now.

Some really good suggestions here. My 2 cents would go for J. M. Greer and Ran Prieur as repeated guests and as for some new ideas, well, here we go: Venkatesh Rao of ribbonfarm.com (super intelligent stuff), Anatoly Karlin of sublimeoblivi...See More

  • Jay Acton I'd love to hear what Mike Hagan of radio orbit has been up to for the past couple of years. I really miss his show.

  • Albert Johnston Someone from Echo Farm may be interesting. Perhaps controversial. Rodney Babeor anyone with long term experience in Haiti. I'm also interested in slum clearance as a topic.
  • Albert Johnston I would also be interested in non-profits running aquaculture or aquaponics.
  • Mark Aaftink I could probably hook you up with Mike Nickerson, author of Life, Money and Illusion if you're interested.

  • Mark Aaftink If we're talking strictly people who have already been on the C-Realm I would put in a vote for Ayasmina. Interested to know what she's been up to.

Care to add a suggestion of your own. It is my plan to make up a form letter and send invites to all of the potential guests listed here.

Hello KMO. Maybe Mike Clelland would be a good guest for the podcast. Mike is a cartoonist, outdoor life instructor and he has a blog and a podcast called "hidden experience" (he has severel blogs, but I dont remember the names). "Hidden experience" is UFO-related stuff, and Mike talks a lot about strange syncronicities. An interesting topic (I think) for you an Mike to discuss would be the use of outdoor life (staying in nature with simple means) as a way to keep your sanity in the troubled consumer culture - I'm sure Mike has a load of reflections on that topic.
