Uh oh...

It's too hot to step outside. Tender, lilly white skin bursts into flame within minutes. Within a quarter hour, white boy body reduced to smoking skeleton.

Not a problem.

Plenty to do inside (where the air is comfortably conditioned). I could read a very entertaining book. I could work on a comic. I could upload photos from my digital camera to share with friends, loved ones, stalkers, and kindred spirits the world over.

I could DRIVE to the gym in the car I bought last week.

Or I could play WarCraft III. I consider this the least meritorious option, but also the most alluring.

I hear a group of young children singing "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes" on the television. Logan is watching the Teletubbies on tape.

I feel a trickle of sweat running down my side from my arm pit. I am shirtless and above the level of the ceiling fan that draws hot air up from the main section of our townhouse and into the upstairs room that serves as my bedroom and as the computer room.

I smell nothing, but that's hardly out of the ordinary.

I taste the film on my teeth which retains a hint of coffee.

I see the green light from the one broken pixel on my laptop's srceen. It bugs me more at night than it does durring the day, particularly when I'm playing WarCraft III in the wee hours. Right now that pixel resides in the redish horizontal band that cuts through the spiraling pencil graphic to the left of the LiveJournal logo.
